Selection Process
Stage 1: Preliminary Shortlisting
You cannot sit for the main exam without clearing this gating tier. UPSSSC evaluates applicants based on their normalized UP Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2025 scorecards. The commission shortlists candidates from the top of the PET merit pool to sit for the Main Exam.
Stage 2: Written Main Examination (OMR-Based)
The written exam consists of a single paper containing 100 objective multiple-choice questions to be completed in 2 hours (120 minutes).
Stage 3: Physical Tests (PST & PET)Candidates who successfully clear the written exam cut-off are called for physical screening. This stage is qualifying in nature, but mandatory to pass.
